Vermont Spice Cookies

Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without these cookies.  This is a recipe passed down from my mom and I bake them every year.  Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.  This is just one of the traditions we have during the Christmas season.  I always make a double batch, but guaranteed they won’t last long in this house.

Vermont Spice Cookies

  • Add egg and molasses mix until combined

  • Combine all remaining ingredients

  • Using a small cookie scoop, scoop into balls. (the one I use looks to be about a teaspoon maybe a little bigger)

  • Dip each cookie ball into granulated sugar to coat

  • Place 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheet (I line mine with parchment)

  • Bake at 325 for 13 minutes
