I just love sunsets. They are totally original and can never be recreated as they are all one of a kind.
Definition: Sunset or sundown is the daily disappearance of the Sun below the horizon as a result of Earth’s rotation.
Sunsets can be mesmerizing. Why are they so different? What makes them so colorful?
The colors of the sunset result from a phenomenon called scattering. Molecules and small particles in the atmosphere change the direction of light rays, causing them to scatter. Scattering affects the color of light coming from the sky, but the details are determined by the wavelength of the light and the size of the particle.
Sunsets give me such joy. I look up and become transfixed looking at the sky. There is something so very meditative about about watching a sunset. I love watching how it changes within seconds. Below are some of my favorite sunset photos that I would like to share with you. Enjoy!
This photo was taken at Costanoa KOA in Pescadero, CA during Thanksgiving week. I remember looking up on the bluff and there were my husband and Bailey. All I did was snap once on my iPhone and there you have it.
This beautiful sunset was taken in Malibu, CA
